Rafting in india
The magic behind River Rafting also referred, as Whitewater River Rafting is the extreme and never-ending thrills in the untamed rivers. The rivers in the upper Himalayas are among the best in the world for river rafting sports, with many staircase rapids that challenge the body and spirit of the river runner. The river cuts against the rocky banks, crash into rocks, crevices and breaking into white water rapids, foaming, swirling, and falling in a thunderous din. India and Nepal has a wide range of river rafting regions, which suits both amateurs and professionals.

Rafting Expedition On Bhagirathi River ( Ganga)
The Bhagirathi river expedition is considered as one of the best river trips in the Indian Himalaya ,Rated as a class IV river (demanding). The Bhagirathi river flows for approximately 320 kms through spectacular scenery until it reaches Devprayag where it merges with the Alaknanda river to become the Ganges.
Day 01: Arrive Eskimo Adventure Camp
Arrive Eskimo Adventure Beach Tented Camp for lunch. The afternoon training and instruction program introduces you to the art of river running and the equipment that we will be using. Overnight in comfortable tented accommodation.
Today we continue our training program. After lunch you are free to enjoy the camp facilities including trying your hand at kayaking, a pleasant walk to a village nearby or just relax on the sandy beach. Overnight in camp.
Drive for four hours to Tehri, the expedition put-in point. The boats will be set up and we embark on the river for the main journey south to Shivpuri. Since there is no road support on this section, the food, tents and gear is carried in water proof bags. Camp for the evening on a sandy bank by the river. Day 04: Nagar village Raft to the isolated village of Nagar. After lunch we enter one of the most exciting stretches on the river, where there is seldom a break between the rapids. Camp is set up on a large sandy bank.
After breakfast we resume our journey through more challenging rapids like `the Fall'. Camp out on an isolated beach on the river. An hour after 'The Fall' rapid, we stop above the Devprayag rapid, an exciting grade IV rapid. The small town of Devprayag sits on the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanada rivers which merge here to form the holy Ganga. After Devprayag the river widens out and is relatively calm. Guests are welcome to 'take over' the raft and experience the thrill of negotiating the rapids. Camp is set on an isolated beach.
A relaxed day on the river covering 20 km of grade II rafting. Camp is set up on a beach near Kaudiala.
The morning session includes the second most difficult rapid of our journey, a grade IV zigzag stretch called `The Wall'. River lunch. Our last hour of rafting excitement bring us back to the base camp at Shivpuri for a celebration dinner around the open fire.
Day 08: Return To Delhi
After breakfast, depart on the six -hour drive to Delhi.
